Just so you know.....

Since I know you're all simply on the edge of your seats wondering what I am actually doing this year, please enjoy these blog postings, recounting my thoughts, reflections, struggles, joys, experiences, prayers and the occassional (or perhaps not so occasional) quip or joke. So, in case you are confused click on the "Tumblr" tab that comes up under the "Blog" tab.

If you would like to respond to anything on this blog, check out my contact page and you can send me a message there!

Also, I really like quotes and sarcasm so be forewarned that you will encounter both of these aspects of my life. In addition, they can be long winded... I just have a lot of thoughts and feelings so it's on you to read the things you choose to read... m'kay?

Finally, this tumblr feed is a continuation of my tumblr from last summer so if you happen across some of those posts as well as some from during the school year, that's just showing that I do have a bit more of a life than just studying end of life care, which is kind of the point... Celebrating life, everyday in all forms. (all day, e'ry day, am I right?)

Thanks for reading friends, family and the person who might have googled and come across this by happenstance!

XOXO

Caroline

Please enjoy this fun video

it will provide insight into how I prepared for this trip by means of packing and why I love people a lot.

Franciscan Prayer

May God bless us with discomfort at easy answers, half-truths and superficial relationships, so that we will live deeply in our hearts.

May God bless us with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people and the earth, so that we will work for justice, equity and peace.

May God bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer, so that we will reach out our hands to comfort them and change their pain to joy.

And may God bless us with the foolishness to think that we can make a difference in our world, so that we will do the things which others say cannot be done.
